Founding and Mission

New Horizons was founded in December 2022 with a commitment to supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and autism. As a non-profit organisation, we strive to provide high-quality care and a welcoming environment for all our service users. Our mission is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives through tailored support and inclusive practices.

 

Tailored Support

At New Horizons, we provide a welcoming and inclusive day service for adults aged 18 and over. We understand that every individual has unique needs, interests, and aspirations, which is why our support is tailored to help each person build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy meaningful opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.

We are committed to creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. While we offer personalised support throughout our day service, please note that we do not provide personal care as part of our service.

About Our Services

New Horizons is a day service for young adults and adults aged 18 years and over. Our aim is to enhance each person's quality of life by providing meaningful activities, opportunities to develop new skills, and encouraging active participation within the local community.

We recognise that every individual is unique and tailor our support to meet their needs, interests, and goals, helping them build confidence, independence, and lasting connections. Please note that while we provide personalised support throughout our day service, we do not offer personal care as part of our service.

 

Operating Hours

Our centre is open all year round, from Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, excluding Bank Holidays. Please note that we are closed for one week over the Christmas period.

 

Facilities

Our facility is equipped with a variety of amenities to support our service users:

  • Games Room: A space for recreational activities and social interaction.
  • Sensory Room: Designed to stimulate the senses and provide a calming environment.
  • Garden Area: An outdoor space for relaxation and horticultural activities.
  • Kitchen: Available for cooking sessions and meal preparation.
